The Czech company HENDS PRODUCTS offers tubular dacron backings Line Tube Backing.
Such backing is an important support for the fisherman when catching large fish. In addition, tubular backing helps to fill the volume of the reel, which is not filled with ordinary backing. The cord on a full spool is wound with larger turns, so it has less memory and is easier to cast.
