Unfortunately, fly fishing is still unpopular in Ukraine. However, now there is a rapid growth in the number of fans of this wonderful way of fishing. But unfortunately, the lack of information sometimes scares and stops interested fishermen. The existing stereotype about the insane complexity, elitism and high cost of fly fishing also has a negative impact on the development of fly fishing in Ukraine. It is difficult to convince people who have never tried fly fishing in their lives that this method of fishing is not only original and beautiful, but also very productive. No one is arguing, this fly fishing must be taken seriously, science is a delicate, complex, behind it is a whole philosophy, formed by more than one generation of fishermen. But the main conclusion that was drawn by beginner fly fishermen, including me, from the first fly fishing - this method of fishing can be mastered by everyone.

I have been fishing for more than 15 years. It all started with the cheapest gear and materials for knitting flies, which could only be bought abroad. Having mastered the technique of making fly fishing flies, I started knitting them for beginner fly fishermen and anglers. To date, I have led this process to the creation of a large professional shop, which provides flies and other fishing lures throughout Ukraine and the CIS. At the same time, I began to communicate more and more often with people who wanted to fly fishing in the Carpathians. These were fly fishermen both from Ukraine and from abroad. It all started with the usual trips to nature. Today we offer fly fishing tours in the Carpathians on an "all inclusive" basis. At the same time, having organized the Ivano-Frankivsk Tandem Fishing Club, the members of the club and I began a tough fight against poaching, stocking and fish protection activities in the mountain rivers of the Carpathian region.

Three years ago, I was elected Vice President of the Fishing Federation of Ukraine, responsible for the development of fly fishing in Ukraine. Since my election, Ukraine annually hosts the Cup and the Ukrainian Fly Fishing Championship, sponsored by the online store fly-fishing.com.ua. To date, a team of athletes has been formed to participate in the World Fly Fishing Championship.

During all this time, I have determined that fly fishing is the best way for me to communicate with nature and people. Fly fishing has completely changed my perception of fishing and my attitude towards nature around us. Constantly communicating in "fishing" circles, I began to understand that people like me, more and more. This inspired me to make fly fishing open and accessible to everyone. The result was the online store fly-fishing.com.ua. Everything we offer is selected on the principle "if the tackle is tested by experienced fishermen, if the front sight is tested on fishing in real fishing conditions, if the material is the one from which we knit ourselves." The main goal of our Internet project is to create a resource where the beginner can easily find the answer to any question related to the manufacture of flies, casting techniques or fishing tactics. In other words, help make fly fishing accessible to everyone.
