Catching an artificial fly is one of the oldest fishing methods. Descriptions of fly fishing are found in the written sources of the ancient Egyptians and Chinese. This method was a deaf tackle to which a bone hook was attached with a live nozzle or a nozzle made of bird feathers. In a similar way, fishing is still very popular in Japan (tenkara).

The classic fly fishing, in its modern sense, was formed in England in the 15-16 centuries, and has not practically changed until today. With the development of scientific and technological progress, materials for making gears changed, methods for feeding bait improved, and the art of making flies developed. But the essence of fly fishing has remained unchanged. Like 200-300 years ago, fishing requires a rod, cord and, of course, a fly.

What does this give the fisherman? The ability to catch all the horizons of the reservoir, "complex" shallow and heavily overgrown areas. At a time when the fish is especially “capricious”, offer her a very small bait, for example, such as a nymph made on hooks of size 14-16 (according to the European classification). Or just snap an artificial bug and catch a handsome chub on a hot summer afternoon.
