Marabou feather Wapsi Wooly Bugger Marabou (replacement) - feathers calibrated to create the legendary Wooly Bugger fly. In the original, these are the downy feathers of the African marabou ostrich, painted in different colors. This feather is used for knitting "live", moving tails of flies, and it is also possible to wind this feather on the shank of the hook to form the body of the fly. Very fluffy in the air, these feathers shrink drastically when wet. In stagnant water, during a pause in wiring, they fluff up slowly and attractively, creating a very attractive game. Currently a very popular material for knitting various types of flies from saltwater to freshwater, from large streamers to small nymphs.
